“Not even a smidgen of corruption.”

Remember this “golden oldie” from late 2015?  When Barack Hussein Obama (mmm, mmm, MMM!) asserted that, during his stewardship of our nation, there was “not even a smidgen of corruption” while he occupied the Executive Mansion?

No, that gag-inducing “golden oldie” wasn’t BHO’s first indulgence in mendacity and duplicity.  Indeed, many people long before knew just how corrupt both of the Obama Administrations were.

Nor have courageous people forgotten.  Just a month ago, George Neumayr revisited one of the numerous instances of the corruption which saturated the eight painful years of the two Obama Administrations:  The Scandal Obama Still Won’t Acknowledge.

I suppose in one way, though, BHO’s assertion about “not a smidgen of corruption” was true.  There was not a smidgen of corruption:  the corruption overflowed in a gushing flood.  You could swim, bathe, or otherwise drown in the multiple Olympic-sized swimming pools required to fully contain the massive depths of corruption easily plumbed by those with the courage to acknowledge the manifestly obvious.

More BHO Mendacity: The Audacity of Gall

Jeannie DeAngelis’s May 4, 2022 commentary titled, Obama’s Fundamental Manipulation of Free Speech, at American Thinker (https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2022/05/obamas_fundamental_manipulation_of_free_speech.html) is my springboard for this post.

I find it fascinating, in an almost ghoulish way, just how successful Barack Hussein Obama (mmm, mmm, MMM!) seems to be in seducing so many individuals with his craftily craven, decidedly duplicitous, but brazenly mendacious lies.  And I mean “seduce” in the sense that so many people of the Left-leaning persuasion will simply swoon in his presence and as he speaks.  So much so that a sitting (wandering?) President will be utterly ignored in the White House itself!

Because of BHO’s brazen mendacity, I think his April 21, 2022 speech at Standford could have been titled, “The Audacity of GALL.”  For it must take a special type of self-absorbed hubris, a uniquely towering level of duplicity, and a thoroughly corrupted world view to assert–with true passion and apparent sincerity–that the way to protect free speech is to regulate it.

Neat trick, isn’t it?  If you deem every opinion which differs from yours as “hate speech”; if you characterize every point of view which doesn’t stand in lock-step conformity to Leftist ideology as “disinformation”; if you say that anyone who dares dispute the wholesomeness of Big Tech and/or Big Government–or who dares opine that the actions and behaviors of members of the Deep State are those of a tyrant–is an “insurrectionist”:  then you have an easy job, don’t you?  An easy job of defaming, dismissing, and disparaging each and every idea, notion, suggestion, thought, or word that violates Leftists’ tender sensitivities.  Saves time and effort if you don’t have to debate in the arena of ideas, doesn’t it?

After all, you don’t give vermin a voice, do you?  Heavens no!  You dispatch vermin.  All for the greater good, of course.

What do you think?

If Roe v. Wade is sacrosanct, why wasn’t Dred Scott v. Sandford?

Naturally those Left-leaning individuals out there who choose ad hominem attacks over rational debate will probably call me a racist for asking the question in the title of this post.  All without bothering to investigate whether I thought the Supreme Court’s Dred Scott v. Sandford ruling was good and appropriate.  (I do not, by the way.  Duh.)

Not that my question matters to any of those Left-leaning individuals whom Rajan Laad had in mind with his commentary at American Thinker titled, Decoding the leak from the US Supreme Court, available at https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2022/05/decoding_the_leak_from_the_us_supreme_court.html.

Mr. Laad had in mind only those Left-leaning individuals who crave, desire, and unquenchably lust for power above all else.  They seek nothing but power.  Not rational debate.  Not civil discourse.  Not any of the things which underpin a Republic predicated upon Representative Democracy.  No, Mr. Laad had in mind those individuals whose wills are bent upon acquiring, accumulating, appropriating, aggregating, concentrating, consolidating, grasping, holding, maintaining, and wielding raw unquenchable power.  The only democracy about which they care, based upon their own actions, is mob rule.

And from where I sit, the modern Democrat Party has been completely hijacked by such individuals.

History doesn’t repeat, but it sometimes…um…rhymes…?

A commentary I wrote 6 years ago sure seems tragically comic here in May, 2022.

It was titled, “Will Trump Trigger World War III?”

https://web.archive.org/web/20160628084649/http://www.westernfreepress.com/2016/05/19/will-trump-trigger-world-war-iii

Wasn’t Joe Biden supposed to restore tranquility and normalcy to the world?  Wasn’t Joe Biden supposed to be the sage and sober steady hand holding our ship of state?  Wasn’t the wise and wonderful Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr. supposed to be the adult in the room?

Yeah, right.  Shit-show Joe has gotten us closer to seeing mushroom clouds over US cities than Trump ever did.  Joe Biden as “the adult in the room”?  Ha. The joke is on us, isn’t it?  Of course, the “adult in the room” descriptor could be true if that room were in a memory care facility…and all the other dementia patients had passed away…leaving Joe alone by himself.
